Adjunct Assistant/Associate/Professor (Open Rank): Ed.D. in Educational Leadership (EDL) Program: EDUC 717

Rossier School of Education Faculty Los Angeles, California

The mission of the USC Rossier School of Education is to prepare leaders to achieve educational equity through practice, research and policy. We work to improve learning opportunities and outcomes in urban settings and to address disparities that affect historically marginalized groups. We teach our students to value and respect the cultural context of the communities in which they work and to interrogate the systems of power that shape policies and practices. Through innovative thinking and research, we strive to solve the most intractable educational problems.

The Ed.D. in Educational Leadership program is seeking an instructor for EDUC 717- Resourcing Schools for Equity and Excellence. This course is designed to provide an overview of how we consider the resourcing of public schools with a primary focus on equity and excellence. We will focus predominantly on urban schools in PK-12 settings. Primarily using an economics lens, we will dig into rigorous research on how the public school system is financed and what the public school system might finance at the policy level in order to achieve the goals of equity and excellence for all students.
