The Master of Communication Management (MCM) Distance Learning program in the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, University of Southern California seeks a qualified Adjunct Lecturer to supplement instruction offered by our full-time faculty, specifically to teach one section of CMGT-541 Integrated Communication Strategies. This course provides an overview and applications of marketing communication principles and strategies. Topics include the situation analysis, brand positioning, communication objectives, creative strategy, media strategy, ROI, and consumer research.

Candidates must have substantial industry experience in marketing communication and/or public relations. Teaching experience in marketing communication, strategic and organizational communication, other fields of applied communication is highly desired.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Education: A Master’s in Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, Business Management or related fields.

Minimum Experience: 15 years of professional experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred Education: A Master or Ph.D. in Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, Business Management or related fields.

Preferred Experience: Teaching experience in marketing communication, strategic and organizational communication, other fields of applied communication. Demonstrated ability to coach and help students achieve their academic and professional goals. Work experience in related positions at national or global agencies or Fortune-500 tier companies.

USC reserves the “Adjunct” appointment for faculty teaching less than full-time at USC, who are employed full-time in a primary profession or career elsewhere. Adjunct faculty typically teach only one course per year, but in exceptional cases, may teach one course per semester, if approved by the dean.
