Adjunct Lecturer of Communication – Communicating Better Health: What Works and Why

The Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, University of Southern California seeks a qualified AdjunctLecturer to supplement instruction offered by our full-time faculty, specifically to teach one section of COMM-443 Communicating Better Health: What Works and Why in Spring 2023.

Candidates must have knowledge and experience such that he or she can teach an undergraduate course in health communication focusing on interpersonal, mass media, and information technologies and how the delivery of health care messaging can shape behavior; marketing companies; health in entertainment, news, social media, and mobile devices.   

Ideal candidates will have prior teaching experience and/or a post-graduate degree, whether masters, professional, or doctorate degree in related fields of communication and health studies.

Minimum Education: Master’s Degree in Communication or a related field.

Minimum Experience: Graduate teaching experience.

Preferred Education: PhD in Communication or a related field.

Adjunct faculty typically teach only one course per year, but in exceptional cases, may teach one course per semester, if approved by the dean.
