Full-time/Part-time Research Assistant I/II (2 posts) in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 201800861) (to commence on November 1, 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter, on a one-year temporary basis or two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)


Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in public health, science, or medical science, with at least 1 year’s full-time research experience. Those with a higher degree and experience in handling questionnaire and interview set up are highly desirable. The appointees will assist the Project Manager/PI/Co-Is of a research project on environment, active living and cognitive health. They are expected to provide a wide range of technical/administrative support functions inclusive of scheduling appointments for face-to-face data collection; producing interview reports from study subjects; processing data with spreadsheets and verifying data; monitoring data-collection equipment (e.g., accelerometers and GPS monitors); conducting on-site environment audits; and handling all follow-up tasks for cohort study.


A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefit. The appointment on two-year fixed-term basis will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
