Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in Experimental Surface and Materials Sciences in the Department of Physics (Ref.: 493751), to commence as soon as possible for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Physics. Experience in surface studies of crystalline films, such as growth by molecular-beam epitaxy, characterizations by scanning probe microscopy and spectroscopy, and photoemission spectroscopy is highly desirable. The appointee will work with Professor Maohai Xie to pursue research in two-dimensional and other quantum materials. Applicants who are in the process of completing a Ph.D. degree in Physics will also be considered.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.
