The Department of Social Work at The University of South Dakota (USD) invites applications and nominations for a full-time, tenure track faculty member for the Sioux Falls Master of Social Work program (MSW). Primary teaching areas are social work macro practice and foundation courses for the MSWprogram. Additional faculty responsibilities include regular advising of students, curriculum and program development, active research and publication, university service, and community engagement. USD Department of Social Work is one of eleven programs within the USD School of Health Sciences, offering a Baccalaureate of Science in Social Work degree in Vermillion. The School of Health Sciences and the USD/Sanford School of Medicine comprise the Division of Health Affairs. The position will be 9-month, full-time. Salary and rank will be based on experience and credentials with the minimum rank required being Assistant Professor.

Required Qualifications: 
MSW degree from a CSWE-accredited social work program. 
• At least two years of post-Masters’ practice experience, and a social work license at the Masters level.
• A doctorate degree in Social Work or in a related field. ABD candidates in social work will be considered, but applicant must provide documentation of degree conferral prior to the start date of employment. 
• Demonstrated effective teaching and scholarly contributions. 
• Demonstrated ability to teach in at least two of the core curricula areas of Social Work Education. 
• Demonstrated willingness and ability to work with culturally diverse and underrepresented populations as well as a commitment to social justice. 
• Demonstrated willingness and ability to contribute in the areas of outreach and service to the department, college, university, profession, and community.
