Role Overview

We are seeking an Assistant Professor in Accounting to contribute to teaching, research, and academic leadership within Nottingham University Business School China. The successful candidate will:

  • Lead and develop individual or collaborative research projects and proposals.

  • Disseminate research findings through high-quality national and international journals, conferences, and other platforms.

  • Deliver teaching across a range of modules within the accounting discipline and provide curriculum leadership.

  • Design and maintain course modules and programs of study, ensuring quality and relevance.

  • Supervise and examine undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD students.


Candidate Requirements

  • PhD in Accounting or a closely related field.

  • Professional qualifications such as ACCA or CPA are preferred.

  • Demonstrated breadth or depth of specialist knowledge to develop research programmes and methodologies.

  • Evidence of a publication record, or clear potential for publishing in high-quality international journals.

  • Experience in teaching within an agreed quality framework, with a proven record of success.

  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills.


Remuneration & Benefits

Successful candidates will receive:

  • A five-year contract, extendable by mutual agreement.

  • Salary in the range RMB 450,190 – 592,815 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.

  • Additional benefits including accommodation allowance, insurances, schooling support, home flight, relocation & repatriation support, and paid annual leave.
