Position Summary

The Department of Biological Sciences is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support its BSc and MSc programmes.

The successful candidate will assist in the delivery of workshops and laboratory-based practicals, coordinate tutorial support, contribute to the overall educational experience of students, and participate in departmental outreach activities in support of academic programmes.

The appointee will also undertake other duties appropriate to the grade as assigned by the Head of the Department.

Contract Information

Important Note

A Teaching Assistant position at the University of Limerick operates as a training contract.

  • The contract is limited to 10 months.
  • It may be renewed once only for a further period not exceeding 10 months.
  • Applications will only be considered from individuals who have not previously held two Teaching Assistant contracts.

Salary

  • €39,279 per annum (pro rata)
