This part-time Graduate Teaching Assistant Studentship presents an exciting opportunity for a successful candidate to acquire skills across research and teaching – both of which are central components to the academic career path. The successful candidate will pursue a PhD while contributing to teaching and assessment on the BSc Psychology degree (further details about the programme can be found at: https://www.manchester.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/courses/2024/00653/bsc-psychology/course-details/#course-profile
Working closely with teaching-focused lecturers, the successful candidate will contribute across a wide range of Psychology course units. Line management for the teaching post will be provided through the Division of Psychology and Mental Health, and the specific teaching responsibilities of the person appointed will be allocated in consultation with the BSc Psychology Programme Director, Doron Cohen.
A contract and continued employment in this position will be dependent on the successful candidate enrolling on a part-time PhD. At the point of PhD completion, (or if the PhD is discontinued for any reason), employment as a Teaching Assistant will be terminated.
PhD supervision will be provided from the Division of Psychology and Mental Health. See Job Description for details of the Project (as supervised by Dr Tracy Epton). A Faculty-funded fee remittance for part-time PhD study will be available (for as long as the Teaching Assistant role is held). Details
