The Department of Management at the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) invites applications for a full-time teaching stream position in the area of Business Analytics. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2025. 
 

Qualified applicants must have earned an MBA or a Master’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or Marketing or other related fields. Preference will be given to applicants with a PhD in any of these fields by the date of appointment or shortly thereafter. A demonstrated record of excellence in teaching and a strong record of pedagogical inquiry is recommended. Research interests in management education will be considered an asset. We seek candidates whose teaching and scholarly interests complement and enhance our existing departmental strengths
 
Evidence of excellence in teaching and pedagogical practices can be presented through teaching accomplishments (e.g. awards, recognition, new course and curriculum development), a coherent statement of teaching philosophy that is linked to evidence of excellent pedagogical practices, strong letters of reference reflecting on both excellent teaching and evidence of commitment to pedagogical enquiry, and the teaching dossier submitted as part of the application.   Other teaching-related activities can include performance as a teaching assistant or course instructor, experience leading successful workshops or seminars, student mentorship, or excellent conference presentations or posters. Select applicants will be invited for a campus visit to the University of Toronto Mississauga to present a lecture as part of the interview process. 
 
The successful candidate will be appointed as a faculty member at the University of Toronto Mississauga, and will be part of a strong culture of undergraduate management education.  Our undergraduate programs include a B.Com with specialization in Accounting, Finance, or Marketing, and BBA and HBA programs with specialization in Management, or Human Resource Management. The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses in coding and/or data analytics. They may also be expected to teach courses in specialist areas such as Marketing, Finance and/or Accounting.
