The Department of Sociology at Yale University intends to make an untenured appointment in the field of computational sociology beginning July 1, 2020. We are seeking applicants that either specialize in computational methods or use computational methods in their substantive area of inquiry. Computational methods are broadly defined to include topic modeling, social networks analysis, agent-based modeling, big data analysis, on-line data collection and experimentation, other computationally-intensive methodological approaches, and innovative uses of data sources and analyses. All substantive specialties are welcome.


Candidates must have a PhD or equivalent at the time of hire.
