Post Summary
The School of Dental Science at Trinity College wishes to recruit an Assistant Professor in Dental Education. The primary purpose of this post is to contribute to the teaching, research, and administrative activities in the School of Dental Science and at the Dublin Dental University Hospital (DDUH).

This role will have a particular emphasis on supporting curricular review and the development and implementation of a new five-year Dental Curriculum for Dental Science students; developing and implementing an evidence-based assessment programme across the undergraduate dental courses in line with university policies and international best practice; and meeting the accreditation standards of the Dental Council of Ireland.

Post Status: Specific Purpose Contract
The specific purpose of this employment is due to its primary emphasis on supporting the development and implementation of a new Dental Curriculum for Dental Science students. Employment is not offered on an indefinite duration basis as it is expected that curriculum reform and development will be complete within a definite period of time.

Hours of Post:
Hours of work for academic staff are those as prescribed under Public Service Agreements.

Salary:
This appointment will be made on the Assistant Professor Salary Scale (€42,925 – €102,556 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy.
