Overview

  • Position: Assistant Professor in History of Irish Art in its Global Contexts, 1800–2000

  • Department: History of Art and Architecture, School of Histories and Humanities

  • Contract Type: Tenure-track (5 years initially; permanency subject to tenure requirements)

  • Salary: €43,425 – €103,582 per annum, commensurate with qualifications and experience

Role Profile

The successful candidate will:

  • Contribute to teaching and research in History of Irish Art.

  • Incorporate Irish collections in teaching and research.

  • Contribute to the Trinity Irish Art Research Centre (TRIARC).

  • Participate in administrative activities within the Department and the School.

  • Engage in interdisciplinary teaching, supervision, and mentoring at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

  • Potentially teach and conduct research in the digital humanities.

Candidates must demonstrate:

  • Expertise in Irish Art, 1800–2000, and the ability to extend this to Ireland’s global relations.

  • Evidence of potential to establish a strong research and publication record.
