The Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences (SLHS) at the University of Colorado, Boulder invites applications for an assistant professor, tenure-track faculty position in interdisciplinary research on:
Oral and/or sign language acquisition
Bilingualism and bimodalism
Communication access for Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals
Focus is on research that expands access, improves outcomes, and recognizes the diversity of human communication.
The successful candidate will maintain an independent research program with publications in high-quality journals and potential for securing extramural research funding. Faculty responsibilities include teaching and mentoring students in SLHS clinical AUD / Master’s SLP, undergraduate, and PhD programs, and participating in departmental service.

Maintain an active, independent research program resulting in high-quality publications.
Secure extramural research funding to support research activities.
Teach and mentor students across undergraduate, graduate, and clinical programs.
Participate in departmental and university service.
Conduct all duties in-person (teaching, research, service).
Complete reference checks regarding prior conduct as required for tenured faculty candidates.
Starting Salary Range: $85,000 – $90,000, highly competitive and commensurate with experience
Start-Up Funding: Available for research program development
