The Department of International and European Law at the Utrecht University School of Law is looking for an assistant professor who will be involved in both Bachelor and Master programmes in the field of European and international law, in particular the Master programmes Law & Technology in Europe, European Law and Public International Law. The lecturer will be closely involved in the continuous assessment and further development of the Department’s teaching curricula. She or he will also supervise Bachelor and Master theses in various Master programmes and may be assigned coordination and tutoring tasks. Although the emphasis will be on academic teaching (0.6 FTE), the position includes 0.4 FTE research. The candidate will be embedded within the Netherlands Institute of Human Rights (SIM) and within one of Utrecht Law School’s research programmes. | |||

Qualifications |

We are looking for a candidate with broad knowledge at the crossroads of human rights law and technology, with a strong preference for knowledge of EU, ECHR and data law. In particular the following requirements apply:

Offer |
|||
We offer a temporary position (1.0 FTE) for one year in an international working environment. After positive evaluation, this can be turned into a permanent position. The gross salary - depending on previous qualifications and experience - ranges between €3,974 and €5,439 (scale 11 according to the Collective Labour Agreement Dutch Universities) per month for a full-time employment. Salaries are supplemented with a holiday bonus of 8% and a year-end bonus of 8.3% per year. |
