The Department of Management in the Faculty of Business and Economics invites applications for a tenure-track (assistant professor) or associate professor position in Management and Organization, with a focus on organizational theory and organizational behavior.
We seek candidates who can contribute to both research excellence and teaching innovation across our Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD programs.
Deliver high-quality teaching in management and organization, including strategic management at bachelor’s and master’s levels.
Teach courses within the Antwerp Management School and/or other university faculties.
Develop student-centred and competence-driven teaching methods.
Supervise bachelor’s and master’s dissertations.
Conduct and expand high-quality research in management, organizational theory, and behavior.
Initiate and coordinate new lines of research and participate in ongoing projects.
Secure national and international research funding.
Publish in leading international journals and develop an international scientific network.
Supervise PhD students and postdoctoral researchers.
Contribute to academic and societal service within the Faculty, University, and broader community.
Take on coordination and policy roles in teaching, research, or service.
Demonstrate a motivating and coaching leadership style that supports staff development.
PhD in Management, Business Economics, or a related field.
Several years of postdoctoral or equivalent experience.
Excellent research record with publications (published or in progress) in top scholarly journals.
Demonstrated ability or potential to secure third-party research funding.
Research and teaching qualities aligned with the University of Antwerp’s policies and educational vision.
Willingness to develop teaching skills through professional development programs.
Language requirement: If not fluent in Dutch, willingness to reach CEFR B2 level (for administrative purposes) and CEFR C1 level in the language of instruction.
Demonstrated leadership potential, organizational skills, and commitment to quality, integrity, and collaboration.
A full-time faculty position (ZAP) at assistant or associate professor level, depending on qualifications.
Tenure-track appointment (5 years) leading to a permanent associate professorship upon successful evaluation.
Research support: Funding for a four-year PhD fellow and €15,000 in research operating funds.
Competitive salary based on the ZAP pay scale.
