Job Description

The United Arab Emirates University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor in Computational Mathematics. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics, with specialization in optimization and/or theoretical scientific computing, with a strong emphasis on the development, analysis, and design of mathematical and computational methods. Priority will be given to candidates whose research focuses on algorithmic development and theoretical foundations of scientific computing, rather than primarily on application-driven or simulation-based research that relies mainly on existing software tools. Applicants should be deeply committed to delivering high-quality education at both undergraduate and graduate levels. They should showcase research proficiency, enabling the establishment and maintenance of internally and/or externally funded research in Mathematics related to Computational Mathematics. Additionally, candidates are expected to publish their research findings in esteemed, peer-reviewed journals. The Department envisions this position as a significant stride toward fostering interdisciplinary research, addressing scientific and technological challenges across various domains and industries related to the UAE's priority areas. Minimum Qualification

Applicants must have earned a doctorate in Mathematics.

Preferred Qualification

Postdoctoral experience, teaching, and research higher education institutions. Strong communication skills in English.
