The Department of Mathematics at UT Austin invites applications for professional-track teaching positions. Primary responsibilities include:
Teaching undergraduate courses (full-time load: three courses per long semester)
Contributing to course coordination, development, and advising as needed
These positions are one-year appointments with potential for renewal. Continued employment depends on enrollment and departmental needs. Successful lecturers and instructors are routinely renewed.
Ph.D. in Mathematical Sciences by July 1, 2026 (exceptions may be made for candidates with rare, technical qualifications)
Prior university-level teaching experience
Commitment to high-quality teaching and strong communication skills
Special consideration for candidates with experience in course coordination, development, or advising
