Position Overview

• SUTD is a young, interdisciplinary university established in 2009 in collaboration with MIT and Zhejiang University.

• The SMT cluster seeks candidates in high-performance computing applied to many-body quantum systems (condensed matter, quantum chemistry, quantum simulation, etc.).

• Preferred expertise: Tensor networks and/or neural quantum states.

• Open to junior (Assistant Professor) and senior candidates (Assoc. or Full Professor).

• Candidates should have postdoctoral experience (desirable).

• Strong commitment to multidisciplinary research and societal impact.

Research Environment

• Department includes experts in quantum simulation, quantum computation, quantum error correction, quantum-inspired computing, quantum open systems, quantum transport, quantum thermodynamics, photonics, etc.

Teaching Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
