The Blair School of Music at Vanderbilt University seeks to appoint a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Music Theory and Composition to begin July 1, 2021.  The successful candidate will have an established record of compositional work, teaching experience, scholarly activity, and recognition thereof. The school welcomes applications from a broad range of artists, including composer-performers, composers working with interdisciplinary approaches, and especially composers who have experience with, and innovative vision for, engaging musically with diverse communities.

We seek a candidate with proven classroom and studio teaching expertise who adds to the strengths of our current faculty. Teaching responsibilities will include core and specialized undergraduate courses.
