The Division of Biological Sciences (https://biology.ucsd.edu/), Section of Neurobiology invites applications for a faculty position in molecular or systems neuroscience at the tenure-track Assistant level. Candidates working on any cutting-edge neurobiological problem in any model system are welcome to apply. Those focused on non-neuronal cell types (e.g., glia), on neurodegeneration, and on the intersection of these processes with neuronal activity are strongly encouraged. We are seeking highly interactive colleagues who bring state-of-the art methods and/or community-enabling approaches to their studies.

We are especially interested in candidates who have created or contributed to programs that aim to increase access and success of underrepresented students or faculty in the sciences, or have detailed plans to accomplish such goals.
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales.
