The Department of Integrative Biology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking excellent candidates for a tenure-track faculty position in neurobiology. The selected candidate will develop a vigorous, internationally recognized research program while making significant contributions to the department's teaching mission. The specific research area is open and could include candidates who study neuroscience at the molecular, cellular, systems or behavioral levels. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the teaching, research, and service missions of the Department of Integrative Biology. Candidate will be expected to engage in scholarly research in areas of specialization leading to scholarly publications at the national and international levels. Candidate will be required to perform university and professional service as appropriate. Post-doctoral experience in neurobiology or related field required. Applicants must demonstrate excellence and productivity in scholarly research, as well as a commitment to teaching. The successful candidate will demonstrate experience with fostering or the ability to foster an inclusive and equity-centered teaching, learning, mentoring, departmental, and research environment where all can thrive.

The position is based in the Department of Integrative Biology, which has 26 regular faculty members, 39 staff members and a large number of graduate students, drawn from multiple interdepartmental graduate programs on campus. The department brings together faculty and research programs that span a wide range of interests, including behavioral neuroscience, developmental and cellular neuroscience, cell biology, developmental biology, animal behavior, ecology, and evolution. It offers a stimulating research environment as well as opportunities for collaborative research in other departments.
