Position

The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University announces a selection procedure for the position of:

Assistant Professor of the Clinic of Paediatric Otorhinolaryngology
(with shorter working hours)

The Clinic of Otorhinolaryngology is a joint workplace of the Faculty of Medicine, Masaryk University, and the University Hospital Brno (FN Brno). In addition to medical services, the clinic carries out educational, scientific, and research activities. It primarily provides practical training for students in medicine and other healthcare disciplines.

The workplace is located in Brno, Czech Republic.


Scope of Work

  • Participation in theoretical and practical teaching at the workplace.
  • Preparation of study and teaching materials.
  • Membership in commissions for state final examinations.
  • Participation in the education of doctoral students.
  • Independent research and development activities, including publication and presentation of research results.
  • Participation in the organization of research and teaching activities, including related administrative duties.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must have:

  • University degree in General Medicine.
  • Completed doctoral education or enrollment in a doctoral program, or attestation in Otorhinolaryngology (ORL) or Paediatric Otorhinolaryngology.
  • Professional experience in the relevant field.
  • Teaching experience.
  • Ability to conduct independent professional and research work, including publishing activities.
  • Ability to actively participate in international conferences or professional seminars.
  • Fluent English (spoken and written).
  • Fluent Czech (spoken and written).
  • Active approach, initiative, and willingness to pursue further education.
  • Moral integrity.

Additional Requirement

  • Employment relationship with the relevant hospital is a prerequisite for appointment to the assistant professor position.
