The Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC) invites applications for a full-time tenure stream position in the field of Zebrafish Models for Genetic and Metabolic Pathologies.

PhD in Biological Sciences or related area
Minimum two years postdoctoral experience
Demonstrated excellence in research and teaching
Expertise in genetic and/or metabolic diseases/pathologies using zebrafish as the primary model organism
Ability to develop an innovative, independent, externally funded research program
Expected to build connections with the Scarborough Academy of Medicine and Integrated Health (SAMIH) and the Scarborough Health Network (SHN)
Evidence of research excellence through:
Publications in top-ranked, field-relevant journals
Research statements, conference presentations, awards, and letters of reference
Evidence of teaching excellence through:
Teaching dossier including teaching statement, sample course materials, and evaluations
Experience as a teaching assistant, course instructor, leading workshops/seminars, student mentorship
Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) through research, teaching, and service
Submission of a 1-2 page EDI statement addressing contributions to diversity and inclusion
Range: $138,000 – $153,000 CAD per annum, depending on experience
Negotiations beyond this range may be considered for exceptionally qualified candidates
