The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in surgical pathology, with a particular interest in thoracic pathology.
Required Qualifications:
M.D., D.O., or equivalent degree
Board certification or eligibility in American Board of Pathology, AP-only or AP/CP
Teaching:
Educate medical students, residents, and fellows in pathology and related disciplines
Clinical:
Participate in the Surgical Pathology service with coverage of thoracic pathology services at Penn Medicine, including:
Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania
Penn Presbyterian Hospital
Pennsylvania Hospital and its affiliates
Coverage may include:
General frozen section service
Autopsy service
Night/weekend call
Additional subspecialty coverage beyond thoracic pathology will be considered
Primary practice site: Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania
Research/Scholarship:
Develop an independent or collaborative research program in anatomic pathology, particularly thoracic pathology
May serve as PI, Co-PI, or Co-I
