The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of flow cytometry/hematology/hematopathology. Knowledge and/or certification in Molecular Pathology and/or Pathology Informatics is preferred. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. American Board of Pathology, AP/CP or CP and Hematopathology.

Teaching Responsibilities

Teaching responsibilities may include medical students, residents, fellows and post-doctoral students, as well as formal lecture opportunities within the Department and Hematopathology Division.

Clinical Responsibilities

Clinical responsibilities may include diagnosing and evaluation of hematopoietic neoplasm, such as participation in bone marrow, tissue, flow cytometry services, review of blood and body fluid smears, hemoglobinopathy evaluation. Responsibilities also include weekend call.

Research or Scholarship Responsibilities

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include development of an independent and /or highly collaborative research program (as PI, Co-PI or Co-I) in the area of flow cytometry/hematology/hematopathology.
