The Department of Philosophy invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor specializing in Philosophy, History, or Ethics of Science (broadly construed). The successful candidate will:
Deliver high-quality teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
Supervise and mentor students
Contribute to an inclusive and stimulating learning environment
Engage in research in at least one of the areas listed, potentially in relation to specific sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Geoscience, Physics, Medicine, Psychology, Psychiatry)
Participate in curriculum development, departmental administration, and committee work
Additional assets: Competence in History of Philosophy, particularly non-Western Philosophy.
Teaching across general and specialized areas of philosophy of science
Research and publication in Philosophy, History, or Ethics of Science
Supervision of students and mentoring
Academic administration, committee work, and quality assurance
Interdisciplinary collaboration within the School
Established record of high-quality scholarship
Strong potential for continued impactful research and curriculum innovation
Commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and mentorship
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to contribute to inclusive academic environments
