Position Summary
The Florida Institute of Technology invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Psychology to begin in August 2026. The successful candidate will join our undergraduate program faculty within the School of Psychology.
Qualified applicants should hold a Ph.D. (or be ABD) in Psychology or a related discipline, have experience teaching undergraduate courses, and demonstrate an established or emerging record of independent research.
Preference will be given to candidates with research and teaching interests in neuropsychology and/or cognitive psychology, though strong candidates from any area of psychology are encouraged to apply.
Successful candidates will be expected to:
Teach courses within the undergraduate and graduate psychology programs.
Advise students on academic and career matters.
Conduct independent, high-quality, and potentially externally funded research.
Supervise graduate students conducting research.
Serve on college and university committees as assigned.
Ph.D. in Psychology or a related field (ABD considered).
University-level teaching experience.
History of research and scholarly publication.
Experience teaching statistics at the graduate level.
Familiarity with learning management systems and virtual communication technologies.
Current professional qualifications, as appropriate.
