The Department of Psychology at UTSC invites applications for a two-year full-time CLTA in Social and Developmental Psychology.
Rank: Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream
Term: July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2028
Candidates must have a PhD in Psychology or a related field by the time of appointment (or shortly thereafter).
Demonstrated record of teaching excellence
Experience in lecture preparation, delivery, curriculum development, and online material development
Commitment to pedagogical inquiry and teaching-related scholarly activities
Evidence of excellence in teaching may include:
Teaching awards or accolades
Presentations at conferences
Teaching dossier (see below)
Strong letters of reference
Candidates must provide a 1–2 page EDI statement
EDI may address:
Research or teaching involving underrepresented communities
Inclusive pedagogy development
Mentoring of students from underrepresented groups
Commitment to a respectful and collegial learning and working environment is required
$106,000 – $126,000 CAD per annum, depending on experience
Negotiable for exceptionally qualified candidates
