Description

The Department of Anthropology at Yale University seeks to hire a tenure-track Assistant Professor in sociocultural anthropology, with an initial five-year appointment beginning July 1, 2024. The successful applicant will have a research and teaching profile that includes the use of ethnographic methodologies to engage issues in contemporary social and/or cultural theory, broadly understood. Topical and geographic areas of specialization are open, with the expectation that the successful applicant will complement the department’s existing faculty profile. The teaching expectation is normally four courses per academic year.

Qualifications

The appointee must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent degree or have completed all requirements for that degree by their start date.
