Tenure-stream faculty position in Statistical Sciences, focusing on applied statistics, with strengths in spatial statistics and/or applied machine learning
Integrate statistics with knowledge co-production for urban sustainability transitions, equity, and socio-environmental challenges
Contribute to undergraduate and graduate curriculum, including teaching and student supervision
Establish an independent, externally funded research program
PhD in Statistics or related area (Computer Science, Data Science, Quantitative Social Science, Sociology, Economics, Epidemiology, etc.)
Strong research record with publications in top-ranked journals or forthcoming work meeting high international standards
Demonstrated teaching excellence, supported by teaching dossier, sample materials, evaluations, and reference letters
Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in teaching, research, and service
Conduct independent research aligned with CERC NEST goals
Teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students
Contribute to tri-campus Graduate Department of Statistical Sciences activities
Engage in knowledge mobilization connecting statistics to community and policy applications
Expected salary range: $150,000 – $190,000 CAD/year, negotiable for exceptional candidates
