The School delivers:
A five-year Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Honours) degree, globally accredited by the AVBC (Australia/NZ), RCVS (UK), and AVMA (North America).
A three-year Bachelor of Veterinary Technology program, recognised nationally and internationally as a leader in the emerging veterinary technology profession.
With over $140 million invested in purpose-built teaching and research facilities at UQ’s Gatton campus, students and researchers benefit from an integrated environment for animal production, health and welfare teaching—set across 1,000 hectares of rural land.
The School of Veterinary Science is seeking Casual Academics to support the tutoring and teaching of undergraduate students in Veterinary Science and Veterinary Technology.
We welcome EOIs from individuals with practical or teaching capabilities in one or more of the following areas:
Animal husbandry (across species)
Clinical examination of large animals
Clinical examination of small animals
Small animal anaesthesia and general anaesthesia
Animal reproduction and theriogenology
Surgical procedures
Preclinical teaching (anatomy, physiology, foundational disciplines)
Radiology
We welcome applications from:
Veterinarians
Veterinary nurses/technicians
Postgraduate students in veterinary fields
Experienced tutors in preclinical or foundational disciplines
You must have ongoing, unrestricted work rights in Australia to be eligible for this role.
