Assistant Professor/Coordinator of the Master of Public Health

The College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions is seeking to fill the position of Assistant Professor and Coordinator for the Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) program. The primary responsibilities of the position include teaching, scholarship, and coordination of the M.P.H. program, as well as service to the College, University, and the profession of public health. This is a full-time, tenure-track, 12 month, benefit-eligible position. The College actively seeks to increase social and intellectual diversity among its faculty and staff. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide leadership for the Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) program:
• Teach utilizing innovative strategies in areas of expertise;
• Participate in and lead research and scholarship in curricular areas;
• Manage the M.P.H. program logistics;
• Oversee student affairs;
• Lead curriculum efforts and assessment;
• Lead the accreditation process and preparation of self-study reports; 
• Collaborate with the University of South Dakota;
• Build and maintain relationships with affiliates.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Earned Master of Public Health (M.P.H.); 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills; 
• Dedication to superior and innovative teaching
• Ability to develop, fund, and conduct an active research program;
• Valid driver’s license, or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire, and willingness to travel.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Prior teaching experience;
• Health care practice background;
• Leadership experience;
• Accreditation knowledge.
