Position description
The Assistant Project Scientist will be a research scientist in the laboratory of Dr. Kendall Houk. This involves developing new methodology and training of laboratory personnel on various methods used in the research group. The research scientist must have skill with quantum chemical, molecular dynamics and machine learning for the investigation of chemical and biochemical reactions. The assistant project scientist will be writing research proposals and manuscripts, has signature authorization on grants, and programming of machine learning protocols for the organic chemical reaction rates. The assistant project scientist will work independently in designing experiments and determining priorities. The position requires a Ph.D. in Chemistry or similar with at least 5 years of experience.
