Full-time faculty position in Division of Cardiac Surgery at St. Michael’s Hospital, Unity Health Toronto.
Tentative start: Late 2026 or Early 2027.
Join a division of four cardiac surgeons focused on:
Surgical revascularization
Mitral valve repair
Minimally invasive and robotic surgery
Structural heart disease
Cardiac surgery trials
Teaching excellence
Participate in academic mandate through scholarship, education, and professional activities.
Contribute to diversity and inclusion in clinical and academic settings.
Certification in cardiac surgery (Royal College of Surgeons of Canada or equivalent)
Eligible for licensure with College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
Subspecialty training in aortic surgery and structural heart disease
MD, with eligibility or completion of Master’s or Ph.D. in relevant field
Excellence in clinical care, academic achievements, and teaching/mentorship
Advanced clinical training (fellowship) is an asset
Strong record of professionalism and collaboration
Appointment: Assistant or Associate Professor – roles may be Surgeon-Scientist, Surgeon-Investigator, or Surgeon-Teacher.

State-of-the-art operating theatres and dedicated cardiac/vascular ICU
Level 1 Trauma Centre serving GTA and Southern Ontario
Hospital part of Unity Health Toronto, network committed to care for the disadvantaged
Estimated: $500,000 – $650,000, based on fee-for-service activity
