Seeking an academically oriented neurosurgeon with fellowship training in complex and minimally invasive spine surgery, focusing on endoscopic spine surgical techniques.
Additional expertise in spinal oncology, spinal trauma, and advanced technologies (navigation, robotics, biologic repair) is desirable.
The candidate will join a multidisciplinary spine program and contribute to clinical care, teaching, and research.
Research-focused applicants with a PhD or equivalent in spinal cord injury, regenerative medicine, or surgical innovation preferred.
Expected dedication: ≥50% academic activities, including research, teaching, and mentorship.
Certification in Neurosurgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or recognized equivalent.
Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
Strong record of clinical excellence, scholarly productivity, and teaching/mentorship.
Ability to complement the existing spine program with minimally invasive and endoscopic surgical expertise.
Part of a vibrant academic neurosurgery network at the University of Toronto.
Supported by strong interdisciplinary collaboration with neurology, orthopaedics, critical care, and rehabilitation.
Opportunities for research funding, including start-up funds aligned with experience.
Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Largely based on clinical activity.
