Position Summary

The Herman B Wells Center for Pediatric Research seeks candidates for a tenure-track position in the Department of Pediatrics. The successful candidate will establish an independent, externally funded research program. The research focus for this position will be on solid tumors with emphasis on therapeutic and translational research using relevant preclinical models. 
Laboratory space and start-up funds are available. The Herman B Wells Center for Pediatric Research promotes a collaborative research environment with access to core facilities. 
The incumbent will participate in the training of research fellows and students. New faculty will join an active multi-disciplinary research community in the department of pediatrics and pediatric hematology/ oncology with a strong collaborative atmosphere.

 

Basic Qualifications

Candidates will have a PhD, MD or MD/PhD and have demonstrated excellence in research, in addition to possessing an ability to participate in the teaching of medical students. Indiana University School of Medicine prides itself on its commitment to the success of its junior faculty and provides a robust mentoring environment.
Preference will be given to candidates with an extensive knowledge of the STAT3 and APE1/Ref-1 response pathways and with experience in glioblastoma and pancreatic cancer models.
