Position description

The Department of Integrative Biology and Physiology the University of California, Los Angeles, seeks applicants for an Assistant or Associate Project Scientist position. The candidate must hold a PhD in a biology-related field and additional training in Drosophila neurogenetics. The candidate must have at least three years of research experience beyond the PhD, with demonstrated ability to conduct and publish high-level research on genetic and genomic mechanisms of neural development, anatomy, and neurophysiology. Familiarity with issues pertaining to spatial navigation and visual control of flight is strongly desired. Extensive knowledge and expertise with fly neurogenetics and husbandry, neural connectomics, fly neuroanatomy, visual guidance of behavior, ability to prepare head-fixed flying fly for two-photon imaging are required.

Qualifications
