Overview

The Department of International and European Law seeks a candidate for teaching and research in European Union Law. The role involves seminars and exercises in EU law, preparation of teaching materials, research leading to academic publications, and participation in department administration.


Key Responsibilities

  • Teach EU law and related subjects at Bachelor’s and other study programs

  • Prepare teaching and study materials

  • Conduct independent research in EU law

  • Publish in Czech and potentially English

  • Participate in departmental administration


Candidate Requirements

Essential:

  • Master’s degree in Law

  • Ph.D. (for assistant professor) or at least a doctoral degree (for assistant)

  • Interest in EU law in relation to Czech domestic law and other departmental disciplines

  • Pedagogical aptitude and some practical teaching experience

  • Ability to conduct independent scientific research and publish

  • Good knowledge of Czech; English and other major languages (e.g., German) are advantageous

Desirable:

  • Experience in teaching and publishing in international contexts

  • Moral integrity and commitment to academic excellence
