(Level A) $68,912 to $92,796 (pro rata) per annum or (Level B) $97,577 to $115,495 (pro rata) per annum plus an employer contribution of 9.5% superannuation will apply

Multiple fixed-term, part-time positions for 6 months with the possibility of extension

Opportunities exist for an Associate Lecturer/Lecturer to join our supportive team of clinical educators teaching into the Counselling and Psychotherapy Post-graduate suite of programs. This may include preparation and delivery of course material, communication with students, management of guest lecturers as appropriate and marking of student assessments. Clinical supervision may include travel to specific clinical placement sites. A valid Working with Children Check will be required.

To be successful as Associate Lecturer - Level A, you will need: 

  • Academic post-graduate qualifications in a discipline relevant to the program, and professional counselling experience
  • Eligibility for membership of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and/or the Australian Counselling Association (ACA)
  • High level interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in the preparation and delivery of lecturers, tutorials, demonstrations or workshops; as well as marking and assessment activities
  • Proven ability to work with initiative and minimum supervision; and involvement in professional activity and a commitment to ongoing learning

In addition to the above, for Lecturer – Level B, you will also need:

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a broad range of stakeholders, including academic staff, guest lecturers, and administrative staff
  • Demonstrated skills, experience, and qualifications in the provision of individual and group supervision of client-counsellor counselling practice
  • Experience in course coordination
