Salary :£52560 to £62727 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

Applications are invited for the position of Associate Professor in Finance, Risk and Banking. Candidates should have a PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant area, together with significant teaching experience in relevant subjects at HE level.  The person appointed will be expected to engage in high quality research and to contribute to teaching on the range of programmes offered by the School at Undergraduate, Postgraduate, MBA and PhD levels.

A track record of publications in internationally excellent, peer-reviewed 4*/4 journals in a relevant area in either Finance/Financial Economics/Econometrics/International Finance/Corporate Finance and/or Banking and  Risk is required along with an ability to supervise Undergraduate, Postgraduate, MBA and PhD students. The ABS list of journals with ranking of 4*/4 in Finance subject area could potentially serve as a guidance for the purpose. The successful candidates should have the ability to develop their own research area, the flexibility to collaborate with colleagues and the ability to work well in a team. They should have excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in relevant subjects in Finance (including International Finance) or Risk or Banking areas. They will also be required to make an appropriate contribution to administration.

This is a full-time (36.25 hours per week), permanent post.
