MBA Director/Associate Professor of Management
We are seeking to appoint an ongoing, full time Associate Professor of Management within the School of Management and Marketing based in Hobart, who will also take on the role of Master of Business Administration (MBA) Director.
The Opportunity
As MBA Director, the successful appointee will provide leadership in terms of re-development and carriage of a strategically aligned MBA, which will involve leading program/unit development and design and working across Colleges to develop cross-disciplinary links to the MBA. As Associate Professor, the successful appointee will be able to teach across at least two or more of the following areas: the fundamentals of management, strategic management, organisational behaviour, HRM, managerial ethics, or leadership.
The Associate Professor in Management role will contribute to the School’s teaching, research, and service/engagement. The successful appointee will be a self-led academic with a commitment to the University of Tasmania’s place-based mission.
The successful appointee will meet the AACSB requirements of a Scholarly Academic, with an established track record and continuation of high-quality industry relevant discipline or teaching-related research. The appointee will also provide leadership to the School, College, University and/or external environment through a commitment to service and engagement.
Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Academic Level D and will have a total remuneration package of up to $180,838 comprising base salary within the range of $142,538 to $154,562 plus 17% superannuation.
