Position Overview
The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) and the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto invite applications for the position of Chief, Adult Neurodevelopment Division.
The Adult Neurodevelopment Division provides:
- Outpatient services
- Outreach services
- Consultation-liaison services
for individuals with:
- Intellectual disability
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Co-occurring mental illnesses across the lifespan
The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary academic environment with active research programs in:
- Translational neuroscience
- Intervention research
- Epidemiology
Key Responsibilities
Leadership
- Lead the Adult Neurodevelopment Division
- Recruit and develop future clinicians, educators, teachers, and researchers
- Provide strategic academic and clinical leadership
- Manage division resources and growth initiatives
- Represent CAMH at local, provincial, and national levels on neurodevelopmental disorders
Clinical Care
- Maintain excellence in clinical service delivery
- Support integrated care for adults with neurodevelopmental disorders
- Collaborate with regional and provincial partner organizations
Teaching & Education
- Contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate education
- Support academic training and mentorship
- Promote excellence in psychiatric education
Research
- Advance research initiatives within the division
- Support translational, intervention, and epidemiological research
- Foster academic collaboration and innovation
Required Qualifications
- MD (Doctor of Medicine)
- Graduate degree
- Certification (or eligibility for certification) by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
- Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
- Eligibility for academic appointment in the Department of Psychiatry, University of Toronto
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Strong commitment to clinical care, education, and research
- English language proficiency
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in neurodevelopmental disorders
- Experience with child and transitional-age populations
- Strong leadership and organizational management skills
- Experience working within complex healthcare organizations
Salary & Benefits
Estimated Annual Remuneration: CAD $350,000 – $450,000
Compensation may include:
- Administrative protected time
- Research funding support

- On-call stipends
