Summary Description

The Hobert Lab at Columbia University has an opening for an Associate Research Scientist in the area of neurosciece. The Associate Research Scientist will be expected to design and conduct research, using C. elegans as a model, to develop novel bioinformatics tools that integrate single cell-type transcriptomic data with open chromatin data to extract upstream cis-regulatory motifs, and testing whether developmental changes in key effectors genes in specific sensory and interneurons result in altered sensory and locomotor behavior throughout development. Experience with C. elegans and the area of neuroscience, good oral and written communication skills, and a strong publication record are required.

Minimum Degree Required

Minimum Qualifications
Four or more years of postdoctoral training and familiarity with neuroscience approaches using C. elegans as a research model.
