Nottingham University Business School China (NUBS China) is part of the EQUIS and AACSB-accredited Nottingham University Business School, with sister campuses in the UK and Malaysia. Located in Ningbo, China, NUBS China offers University of Nottingham degrees and maintains a strong international and research orientation.

The School has over 3,600 students (including 894 postgraduates and PhD candidates) and a diverse international faculty of 111 academics from 18 countries and regions. English is the medium of instruction for all programmes.

About the Role

NUBS China seeks exceptional scholars to join as Associate or Full Professor in Business Administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, plan, and conduct individual and/or collaborative research projects.

  • Act as principal investigator on major research initiatives; develop new research methods and contribute to the advancement of the field.

  • Establish a national and international reputation through sustained publication in leading peer-reviewed journals, conferences, and other outlets.

  • Deliver teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate modules; provide curriculum leadership within your area of expertise.

  • Design and manage course modules/programmes and ensure their academic quality.

  • Supervise and examine undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD students.


About You

We seek proactive, creative, and research-driven academics with internationally recognized contributions in their fields.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:
  • A PhD in one of the following or related areas:

    • Marketing

    • Business Analytics

    • Information Systems

    • Sustainability and ESG

    • Other emerging or interdisciplinary fields relevant to Business Administration

  • Proven ability to lead and deliver research and teaching programmes.

  • A strong publication record in top-tier international journals.

  • Ability and enthusiasm to work effectively in a multicultural environment and pursue China-focused research opportunities.

Desirable Qualifications:
  • Evidence of successful research funding or leadership of major projects.

  • Proven ability to mentor junior researchers.

  • Experience in editorial roles with leading international journals.


Remuneration, Benefits, and Support

  • Five-year renewable contract (extendable by mutual agreement).

  • Negotiable salary within the professorial range, commensurate with experience.
