About the Role

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to teaching and curriculum development for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Applied Mathematics and Statistics, to play a lead role in collaborative research projects and conduct ongoing original research and publications in Mathematical Sciences.


Candidate Requirements

Candidates must have:

  • A PhD degree and preferably postgraduate degree (or equivalent) in Applied Mathematics or Statistics.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
  • Experience of supervising PhD and Master students.
  • Successful acquisition of external research funding.

Contract Details

The post will initially be offered on a fixed-term contract with the University of Nottingham, Ningbo, China for a period of 5 years, starting September 2027.

This contract may be extended by mutual agreement.
