Job summary

This is an Academic Clinical Lecturer post with 2 positions available, within the National Heart & Lung Institute Division in the Faculty of Medicine and with an interest in Airways Disease.  You will be based at Royal Brompton, St Marys or Hammersmith Campuses within the Respiratory Medicine Division of the National Heart & Lung Institute, Imperial College London.

Duties and responsibilities

Academic trainees would be in an ideal academic environment in the National Heart & Lung Institute, within Imperial College London. The posts are funded by the NHLI Foundation Airways Disease Centre and it is expected that the you will have an interest in airways disease research.

ACLs, when not in blocks of research, will participate in the North West Thames Specialist training rotation. Trainees are placed in many hospitals throughout the region including specialist respiratory units at the Royal Brompton, St Mary’s and Hammersmith Hospital

Essential requirements

You must hold a higher degree (MD, PhD or equivalent) in a relevant subject area.  You must demonstrate evidence of good progress in clinical training and completion of specialty training may be accommodated during the appointment. You should also demonstrate an understanding and commitment to an academic career.
