Third-cycle subject: Applied and Computational Mathematics specialization in Optimization and Systems theory
In this project, we will use frameworks in optimization, systems theory and functional analysis to develop methods for large-scale network problems. The focus will be on developing theory within optimization and systems theory for the optimal transport problem as well as methods that can be used for control and estimation of large-scale systems such as traffic control systems and other transportation systems. In particular we will utilize structured multimarginal optimal transport problems in order to solve network flow problems with a massive number of commodities.
