The Department of Women's and Children's Health conducts research, postgraduate education and teaching in reproductive health, gynecology, obstetrics, international women's and maternal health care, perinatal medicine, pediatrics, global health, women's medicine and clinical psychology. The research is conducted within twelve research groups. More information about the department can be found at www.kbh.uu.se/.


Project Description: The  purpose of the research project is to gain new knowledge about the causes and consequences of the sharply increasing prescription of potency-enhancing drugs for young men in Sweden.

The project is led by Professor Cecilia Ekéus and will be carried out in collaboration between researchers in reproductive health, andrology, epidemiology and statistics at Uppsala University and Karolinska Institutet. The project is funded by Uppsala University .

Postgraduate education comprises four years of full-time studies. Other employment at the department relating to education and administrative work may occur (max. 20%) in full-time work, which extends the employment by a corresponding period.


Duties: Literature compilation, analysis of register data, reporting of research results, and some teaching.


Qualification Requirements: Admitted to postgraduate education is the person who has completed the degree at the advanced level, completed course requirements of at least 240 higher education credits, of which at least 60 higher education credits are relevant at the research area of reproductive health, such as midwifery education , medicine, psychology or public health. or otherwise acquired within or outside the country equivalent knowledge.

We are looking for a qualified and motivated doctoral student with the ability to take the initiative. You must be careful and structured and have good social skills and cooperative ability. Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in both Swedish and English is necessary.

Desirable / Meritorious in Other Respects: K unskaper in epidemiology / some experience of various statistical analysis methods.

Salary: According to local collective agreement for doctoral students.
