NYU Shanghai is currently inviting applications for an open rank position in Modern or Contemporary Chinese literature. We seek candidates who have completed a PhD in Chinese literature, or a closely related discipline. We are looking for a teacher and researcher interested in working with a collegial group of scholars in Global China Studies. We have a special interest in those with experience teaching in both Mandarin and English.

Terms of employment at NYU Shanghai are comparable to U.S. institutions with respect to research start-up funds and compensation, and they include housing subsidies and educational subsidies for children. Faculty may also spend time at NYU New York and other sites of the NYU Global Network, engaging in both research and teaching.
